Islander 24, 1964

  • LOA: 24.00'
  • LWL: 20.00'
  • Beam: 8.00'
  • Draft: 3.40'
  • Disp: 4200 lbs
  • Long Keel
  • Has tandom axel trailer.

I bought her a new battery last summer, and a 55# trolling motor goes with her, new bilge pump this spring with automatic float.

  • Has 2 main sails, 1 jib.
  • New bottom paint last summer.
  • She needs a little more work, mostly wood work, but sails just fine as is.
  • She is a heavy boat and sails smooth.
  • She is not one of your newer boats with thin hulls.
  • She is solid as a rock.
  • No soft spots at all.
  • Her hull is 1/2 inch thick fiberglass, as is her deck.

They built them to last, back in the 60's.

She was designed as a costal sailer, and several have circumnavigated.

    Great first boat.
