Redwing has been beautifully restored over the last four years. Restoration included the following:

RIGGING

  • All new deck hardware, 90% Harken hardware
  • Completely race rigged including high tech running rigging
  • All new standing rigging including adjustable backstay.
  • 6:1 internal outhaul with spectra line
  • Magic box jib halyard tensioner
  • Midboom sheeting with high tech mainsheet 3:1 or 4:1 setup
  • Spinnaker sheets under deck
  • Carbon spinnaker pole
  • Alluminum 6 to 11 adjustable whisker pole
  • Schaffer racing genoa tracks with Ronstan blocks
  • Schaffer jib tracks with Ronstan blocks

    MAST

  • Mast is 1975
  • Mast step support rebuilt (see photos)
  • Aluminum adjustable mast step in excellent condition and moves freely

    EXTERIOR

  • Bottom sanded down to fiberglass, faired and painted with three coats Proline Epoxy Primer
  • Throughhulls glasses and faired
  • Topsides painted with two coats Proline Epoxy Primer and sprayed Awlgrip
  • Deck sanded smooth (non skid removed) and painted with two coats Proline
  • Epoxy Primer and sprayed Awlgrip
  • New rub rail from Ensign Spars with new SS bow caps
  • Rudder glasses and faired
  • Rudder shaft in excellent condition, no apparent corrosion

    COCKPIT INTERIOR

  • Mahogany seats and coaming boards removed, disassembled, sanded to bare wood, impregnated with West System epoxy (207 uv resistant hardner) and 6 coats of Epiphanes
  • Interior hull fiberglass sanded and painted above the teak floor.
  • Original teak trip sanded. Epoxy coated and varnished with Epiphanes

    CABIN INTERIOR

  • Maststep rebuilt
  • Interior wood and fiberglass sand and painted
  • Foam removed from bow to allow addition of bow eye.

    SAILS

  • Ulman main very good condition, one reef point
  • North #1 very good condition
  • North #2 non class sail good condition
  • Lee lapper fair condition needs repair, but usable
  • Symmetrical spinnaker excellent condition
  • Chicken chute fair condition
  • Assymetrical spinnaker good condition

    OTHER

  • EZloader tandem axle trailer with 16 ft custom tongue extension, new tires, bearings, brakes, actuator, and lines in 2010
  • Marine grade stereo amplifier with Ipod input and speakers
  • New West Marine battery in 2007
  • Ensign boom cover (needs rear zipper replacement
  • 1973 Mercury 4hp outboard in good working condition with bag.
  • Motor and bag will fit in bilge to keep motor weight in the best position for racing.
  • Custom SS transom motor mount from Ensign Spars
  • Sunnto B95 bulkhead compass
  • Sheet bags
  • Adjustable hiking straps with tensioners
