I just returned from spending the winter sailing in Key Biscayne in the Florida Keys. This Typhoon Weekender handles the trade winds well. She gets up to hull speed easily in 5 knots of wind, and doesn't complain in 20 knots of wind. Everywhere we went she turned the heads of sailors in larger boats as they said "Nice boat, what is she?"
She comes equipped with:
Almost new jib
Very good mainsail
Used Genoa (needs repair)
Good spinnaker and pole
Rule Aqua Meter Compass
Brand New Hawkeye D10D Digital Depth Finder
Duel Battery Charger
2 Working Cabin Lights
Newer V Berth Cushions
Newer Cockpit Cushions
Newer Mainsail Cover
Manual Bilge Pump
All exterior wood replaced and boat painted 2009. New bottom paint February, 2012.
Home built trailer. Ugly, but tows great. Tows at 75 mph with no swaying. Trailer has new bearings and and bearing buddies. One tire is brand new, other tire is in good condition, include spare as well. New lights.
Also available, but sold separately, dinghy and 8 hp motor and spare 5 hp motor.
Everything you need to go on your sailing adventure!!!
I have sold the Cape Dory. Love your website. Keep up the good work.
