New in 1977, it was placed in storage in 1998 and unused until 2005. This boat has been very lightly used since and always dry-sailed. For its age, this maybe the nicest cruising Harpoon 5.2 on the market.
Mechanically, structurally and cosmetically the boat is in excellent working order. The hull and gelcoat have a few scratches and the bottom paint has been sanded and smoothed down. The original mahogany woodwork (seats and trim) shows little evidence of wear. To make woodwork perfect, varnish touch-up only around the fasteners and on the motor mount. The cuddy cabin is removable.
Spars, standing and running rigging are all sound and undamaged. The sails (main and jib1 & jib2) are in good condition, having always been stored indoors in the sail bag. The main sail was refurbished by North Sails in 2006. The boat is also rigged for a spinnaker.
Original Harpoon sales brochure, a copy of the original owner's manual and much other useful information is included.
Lil Dude Tilt (galvanized) trailer was rewired with working running lights in 2005 and is completely ready to go (wired, fairly new tires with spare). Yes, the lights work.
Included with the boat and trailer are all original equipment with 2 jib sails, 1 main sail, 1 cushion, new compass, trailer strap, new windex wind indicator, and ice chest.
