f-stop has had a great racing history. She is in need of some serious repair however.
On Wed Aug 1, 2012 the bow on the port side was struck by a Soling and the boat sustained a serious but repairable "puncture". The hole is appx. 15" x 18" with a few cracks running up and back from the location of the strike.
Neither the bulkhead nor the hull deck joint were damaged in this (verified by a surveyor).
Repairs will begin shortly and will be complete before October 1.
In the past 16 years that we have raced this boat in Milwaukee we have won nearly 50 flags and trophies. This boat is a proven winner. PHRF 174, JAM 186.
It is priced well below market value.
The surveyor, who saw the boat for the insurance company on August 9, 2012, estimated the market value at over $13,000. It is priced very aggressively to get it sold ASAP as we are moving to a J 30.
