400 lb swing keel so you can choose whether you want shallow draft (12") or a nice deep keel (5'6") for stability.
The swing keel also means she rides low on the trailer so you don't need a ladder to get in her or a special boat ramp to launch her.
There is a hand winch in cockpit to easily and quickly raise or lower the keel.
She has a spacious cockpit that comfortably fits 4 people with room for 2 more if everybody is friendly.
The big rudder with a tiller makes her easy to handle and quite stable.
The cabin has a V-berth and two quarter berths. This is plenty of room for an extended weekend of camping/cruising.
The mainsail can be reefed/furled on the rolling boom. This makes her easy to manage when short-crewed.
She is a cutter rig. This means she has two head stays so you can fly two head sails at the same time if desired.
Included is 1 full size mainsail (1 reefing position), a jib, and a genoa.
She has all the standing and running rigging. Stainless steel cable stays in good condition. Sheets, halyards and miscellaneous lines. Some of the lines are new, some have been around a while, but none are in need of immediate replacement.
Galvanized Danforth anchor with chain and line rode.
Included is a 5 HP Suzuki two stroke outboard motor with a mount that allows you to raise, lower and remove the engine.
This engine has enough thrust to maneuver the boat easily and has pushed her through a 20kt headwind.
Also included is a red plastic Tempo Ultra3Gas 3 gallon above deck fuel tank with level indicator, fuel line, priming bulb, quick disconnect, and fire extinguisher.
The oil in the engine lower unit has recently been changed to prevent corrosion.
Includes a trailer in good condition with rust-resistant paint. The trailer and boat weigh less than 1800lbs, so the trailer does not require a license or registration in Oregon (see ODOT website).
The trailer has a galvanized bow winch and nylon strap in good condition.
The trailer lights work.
The trailer has a 2-inch ball hitch. I will include a 2" ball for your vehicle if you want/need one.
The Venture has 6 blue cushions: 2 for the cockpit, 2 for the quarter berths, and 2 for the V-berth.
There is an Aqua Meter pendulously mounted, fluid dampened compass mounted in the cockpit on a removable mount.
Also, there is a mechanical clinometer to indicate the heel angle.
The rudder/tiller assembly removes easily for transportation.
The bottom paint is in good condition.
She has not been in salt while I've owned her.
She has been stored under cover and taken care of.
I have the title free and clear.
She is registered in the state of Oregon through the end of 2012.
