Beautiful and practically new 2008 Gig Harbor Melonseed with all the options! If you're not familiar with the Melonseed story and design, check out the link below. It's a very capable tandem rowing vessel that also sails very well. It is a breeze to rig up and you're literally in the water in less than 10 minutes. Everything stores within the hull for easy trailering.
This particular boat has only been rowed a few times and only sailed once. The mast, spars and sail are all brand new! It has spent 90% of its life in storage and is in beautiful condition. The original owner purchased it to do some rowing expeditions around the Seattle area. In fact, he had the manufacturer raise the centerboard trunk slightly to allow more gear weight for camp cruising. He ended up having some health issues and then a move to a different area prevented him from using the boat.
All the options were purchased, 2 sets of 9' spoon oars, additional rowing station with rolling seat, cover, tiller extension, etc. This same boat, brand new with trailer and options, would be over $17,000.
I purchased this boat recently but sadly, a physical limitation specific to me personally prevents me from using this boat how I intended and I must sell.
