You can think of this boat in two ways. It's either the world's smallest yacht, or it's the biggest feeling trailerable sailboat ever.
At 19 feet, it sails like a much bigger boat, but with a 2 foot shoal draft, perfect for docking or trailering.
Super stable.
Dry as a bone inside.
Great to learn on, or to have for a stress-free afternoon sail.
Or get yourself outfitted and take this boat just about anywhere.
Compac sailboats are solid, reliable, and virtually indestructible.
This is a 1982, hull # 21 of hundreds of Compac 19's built and still plying waters all over North America. They are prized for their sturdy build and big boat feel. Original main and jib have been perfectly adequate for me. Easy to trailer and set up/take down for the season. With a trailer, save hundreds if not thousands a year in storage. Johnson 2-stroke 4.5 hp isn't new, but starts on the first or second pull all the time.
Currently on Cayuga Lake at Ithaca, on the water and in a slip, which is yours for the rest of the season. September is the best sailing of the year.
If you snooze, you lose. This boat will definitely go for more in the spring.
Give me a shout, and check it out! Serious inquiries only.
