This Longboat is all original and in fair to good shape and comes with everything you'll need for your next adventure.
The Longboat has an easily driven, 21'9" hull. The Lapstrake construction, a feature of all Drascombe boats, add rigidity to the hull-as well as good looks.
Fully-rigged, there's 172 sq. ft. of sail to drive the Longboat through the water. Or use an outboard - or you can choose for the three rowing positions.
The Longboat is roomy and stable enough for fishing expeditions and with a shallow draft, kickup rudder and metal-reinforced stem, she'll take you exploring coves and backwaters with ease.
Sails & Rigging:
As a family boat, the Longboat carries a Gunter Yawl rig with sail area of 169 sq. ft. This handy rig, beloved of fishermen, leaves an uncluttered cockpit when the boomless sails are furled to the mast.

Hull:
The lapstrake hull adds strength and character to rakish lines - and achieves minor miracles in keeping down spray! Foredeck, side benches and afterdeck are cleverly moulded in one single unit - as are centre-plate and rudder trunks, too, for watertightness and strength. Teak trim complements the fiberglass moulding for minimum maintenance.
Stowage & Equipment:
Ample stowage is provided under side benches and after decks - and the latter can be securely padlocked. The swing rudder has a folding tiller and lifts straight out for beaching. Another practical feature is the teak motor mounting which allows the engine to be carried in a protected position, ready for rapid use, but tilted to bring the propeller clear when sailing. Positive buoyancy makes the open Longboat unsinkable.
