This boat is a 1983 shoal draft model with optional hinged mast tabernacle, dual axel trailer, and 8HP Johnson 1984 Sailmaster outboard with new 3 gallon tank and hose. Fresh water boat lying in a boat yard near Lake Geneva, WI, one hour from Milwaukee, two hours from Chicago.
The Freedom 21 is a keel boat that is versatile, easy to handle, and this one is ready to go sailing. All lines are led aft to the cockpit. Strong, light carbon fiber mast means no stays (meaning that the mast is freestanding and not supported by the normal set of standing rigging) allowing an extra-large, fully battened mainsail for good performance under a range of wind conditions.
Also included is the unique "Hoyt gun mount" spinnaker system that allows the spinnaker to be raised, controlled and doused by one person from the cockpit. These boats are easy enough for a beginner, but offer features challenging enough to appeal to expert sailors. They are very stout well built boats.
