MacGregor 26S, 1993

  • $6,000 Firm. Not interested in trades.

Exterior pictures do not show any accessories as I removed everything while it was in storage when I had a new driveway installed.

I have had this boat since 2008 and love it. It is my 4th sailboat and by far the best. My children and I have had many great overnight, weekend, and even a few 6 day trips up and down the St. Johns River from Jax to Lake George. The boat sails great and since it is a water ballast boat, it only weighs 1650 lbs once you drain the ballast tank. I have always kept it in my back yard so no slip fees. It is a water ballast boat so no hauling around 700+ pounds of rusty iron every time you tow the boat. Just put it in the lake or river and fill the tank with water and you are ready to sail. When you are ready to go home, load the boat on the trailer and 1100 pounds of water will drain out. You can easily tow with a 6 cylinder vehicle. I use a medium size 6 cylinder SUV and have no troubles towing at highway speeds. The S means swing keel so if you venture into shallow water the keel and rudder will swing up to clear the shallows and return down when you get back to deeper water. You only need 18 inches of water to travel. I have motored this boat all the way up the channel to the spring at Silver Glenn. There are not many 26 foot boats that can do that.

Sadly selling because my children have become adults with different priorities so I have nobody to sail with now and wife is not into boats. The boat is clean inside and out and ready to go. Motor is a 4 stroke so she purrs like a kitten and no messy gas oil mixing. Call me now and come on by to see her. You will not be disappointed.

The boat's name is Tranquility. I did not name her but I actually like the name.

I am sure there are more items and I will update. You will not find a better boat at this price. Just the accessories would cost you more than the boat and you have to have them to sail. Sailboats are cheap, the accessories are not.

Call me and lets sell you this boat. Scammers need not apply. I will not hold the boat, I will not take a check. Cash only sale and I have a clear (current) title and registration in my name
