Manufactured in Marshfield, MA by Roger Crawford Boatbuilding in 1986. Currently Roger produces the Melonseed Skiff (see www.melonseed.com). This is a fairly rare boat. Roger made only 200 of these handbuilt sailing dories. Very high quality build, boat in very good condition.
Boat may be sailed, rowed, or motored.
Freshly varnished mast, rudder, tiller and oars.
99 SF Sprit sail rig in very good condition with varnished spruce freestanding mast and sprit pole with snotter.
Traditional white 3-strand running rigging, silicone bronze hardware, stainless steel swivel blocks and snap shackle for the loose footed mainsheet.
Unique inboard motor well.
Very stiff fiberglass hull with foam cored bottom. Encapsulated foam in bow and stern compartments provide unsinkable floatation.
Rigged weight is 450 pounds.
Gas outboard motor shown in picture not available.
Highlander, tilt bed trailer with good tires, bearings and lights.
Unique folding bronze oarlocks.
9' Varnished spruce oars.
The original painted blue stripe detail on each side could use fresh paint, especially on the port side due to dock rub over the years.
I have sold my boat so the ad may be removed. Thanks.
