This boat is a head turner with
classic, elegant proportions in an easy-to-handle size.

Recently upgraded to correct the most common issues with this boat,
improving seaworthiness and longevity. Upgrades include:
1. Chainplate knees replaced with mahogany marine plywood knees,
epoxied in place with drain channel routed in wood to prevent future
rot.
2. Original thru-hull fittings replaced with bronze fittings,
preventing breakage risk associated with the standard plastic
fittings. Drain hose for these fittings is heavy-duty exhaust hose,
not flimsy bilge pump hose as standard installations.
3. Mast compression post plates upgraded from solid wood (which was
prone to cracking under compression loads) to mahogany marine plywood.
4. Top-quality closed-cell foam poured into several void areas
belowdecks. I can't claim this boat is unsinkable now, but the safety
factor is substantially improved with no loss of storage or camping
space and approximately 9lbs increase in hull weight.
5. Several rigging upgrades including a new Harken carbon mainsheet block.
6. New tires on trailer, upgraded from 8" wheels/ tires to 12".
This boat is ready to go as a fun daysailer or weekend cruiser.
Performance is nice & quick with the stability and safety of a shoal
keel. This boat draws less water than a Sunfish but can take a couple
out for a weekend camping cruise or 4 people out for cocktails. Easy
to trailer and launch, rig time at the ramp is 15-20 minutes and then
you're sailing.
Title, trailer registration, etc all in order. I have 5 sailboats
right now, hate to let this one go but I have to clear some space for
my next project.
This boat has not been exposed to any contamination resulting from the
recent oil spill.
