Metacomet was a Gloucester Mass. Trawler that was completly rebuilt in 2000-2003 into a Motorsailor. She is a VERY stong boat, in structure and in her engine. She is currently working as a charter boat in the Caribbean, running passengers between Panama and Colombia and is one of the only boats to be able to do this job all year round. With her capasity to transport 15 passengers a crew of 3 AND 8 motorcycles at a time, she is a REAL Money Maker! This is perfect opportunity for someone who wants a liveaboard and a job at the same time. I also have a very complete survey taken in 2003 which tells exactly how the previous owners rebuilt the boat and tons of photos I can send to anyone interested. If you're wondering about the paint job, we also use her for our non profit environmental association "No Plastic Planet".

The boat does have some work to do on it, but nothing major. The rigging cables should be replaced at some point and the boat should be hauled to repair some fiberglass on the bottom as well as having the sea cocks looked at. Most of the work is minor however and just to make her more comfortable, however she is making money just fine the way she is too.

SAILS: 5 sails in good cond. 1 main, 2 jibs, 1 storm, 1 misen

NAV & ELECTRONICS: GPS, VHF, sterio with CD and MP3 player, 1 solar panal, 6 batteries

GALLEY: Metacomet has a large galley with a 3 burner stove /oven, room for a refrigerator and I have one but it's 110 not 12V, there is a HUGE pantry and lots of strorage, Sink and an IKEA magnetic system that holds all the knives and utensils and is the envy of every captain around.

ACCOMMODATIONS: 2 triple cabins, one in front and one in back, both with HUGE double berths and a large single. The center of the boat has a dormiory that sleep 10 with 2 double berths and 6 singles. The cabin house has a single berth as well as the aft of the boat with 2 single bed/benches. The boat sleeps 18.

DECK & SAFETY: 1 safty boat , but needs to be checked, 22 life jackets, 4 fire extinquishers, flare gun, 3 winches, danforth anchor with 200 ft of chaine and 200 ft of rope, 5 big fenders.
