I bought this boat at the end of the season before this past winter, with hopes of spending much of the summer on it in Lake Norman but I have to move back to Chicago before this summer.
This is a great boat and the owners before me took great care of it.
I am a sailing instructor on the side and can attest to the J boats being some of the best boats on the water for racing or leisure sailing.
I did a full inspection of the deck core, standing rigging, running rigging, sail inventory, steering mechanisms, electrical, etc. before I purchased the boat last year and all is in great condition.
This vessel also comes with some great extras as follows:
Brand new electrical wiring running throughout the boat connected to two large batteries and a trickle charger. The last owner did this so he could connect an electric trolling motor rather than a gas motor and the trolling motor comes with the boat as well. It works great.
Full sail inventory including a spinnaker
A brand new depth gauge that just needs to be installed
A high end propane grill that connects off the stern...very cool
two new Halyards
A an excellent inventory of tools already on the boat.
Several life vests and all the other essentials for safety and Coast Guard compliance.
