This is basically one hull (LS-13) with the sails, spars, and hardware of two boats (LS-13 and Vagabond 14).
Lonestar LS-13, 1965 or later (after Chrysler bought Lonestar)
Length 13'1", beam 5'1", weight 350 lb.
Masthead sloop-rigged, double "bilge-boards"
This boat has had almost all hardware removed from hull as part of a refurbish project that never happened. All hardware is present expect for gudgeons/pintles for (missing) rudder.
Boat comes with an almost-complete duplicate set of hardware, apparently from a Vagabond 14 (=Holder 14). See photo.
Boat comes with 2 sets of sails, each mainsail plus jib:
Set #1 is by Larsen, and may be original (number 208), in good condition although stained and soiled, several good tape patches, jib seems to be genoa in size.
Set #2 is actually for a Vagabond 14 (=Holder 14), logo and number (203) good and clear, but several rips, jib is normal one seen with V14.
Boat comes with 2 masts and 2 booms:
Mast #1 is original LS-13, slightly bent near bottom, all stays and adjusters present, masthead sheaves worse for wear. No original boom from LS-13.
Mast #2 is for Vagabond 14 (=Holder 14), complete with matching boom, with tackle, side-stays (forestay is threaded into Vagabond jib, see above).
There is an extra boom, too large for this boat.
Missing rudder/tiller, original boom.
Needs new running rigging.
Gelcoat in pretty rough shape, i.e., chips, gouges, crazing.
Hull seems good and solid, no soft spots.
Some repairs were done in past, as shown by multiple drill-holes in transom and bilge boards.
Transom reinforced in past, but that wood is very old now.
Comes with Dilly trailer made by Green & Green Mfg., probably in 1970s, good condition, tires are old but functional, rudimentary bunks need to be replaced, no real winch in front (using a tie-down strap instead), has Texas plates but latest tags are from 1991.
Alison, thanks so much for putting my ad on your website! I sold the Lonestar today!
