The Mac 25 Sailboat for sail is simply one of the cleanest examples of this boat that I've seen. The overall condition, especially of the interior, is very good. The cushions look like new. The previous owner enjoyed taking his grandchildren sailing on her, and was meticulous in the care and maintenance provided. Her gelcoat still shines.
Here in Los Angeles, keeping the boat in a slip in Marina Del Rey, in addition to the fun and excitement of sailing, would make a great $270 a month condo in an exclusive area where apartments start in the $1500s.
The boat comes with many extras, including VHF Radio, Fenders (bumpers), Lines (ropes), Safety equipment, Life Preservers,a (rare to find) Removable Sink and Cabinet, and also has an enclosed bathroom with porta-potti. The previous owner even built a custom aluminum Mast Raising system, including it's own winch (all included)! Younger able bodied folks wouldn't need it, as the mast is only 35 pounds, but if you're nervous about raising the mast, you needn't be now!
She is on a rustproof galvanized trailer now (available), making all of California available for cruising to her, she goes more than 50 knots on a trailer, how many other sailboats can go that fast? These Mac 25s sail fast too, they are light and one of the fastest boats in their class.
Overall she's been very well cared for. The pictures, although not as large as I would like, tell most of the story. Her keel and area below the waterline are in excellent shape, having spent her life on a trailer instead of in a slip like most sailboats. She comes with both the Mainsail and a Genoa, great for light air sailing.
These boats have a "Pop Top" giving them over 6 feet of headroom, and a real open feeling inside. Also, they CANNOT SINK! I'm not an expert sailor, but have no problems sailing her all by myself. The ad is not just hype. These are great boats.
