The Montgomery 17 is one of America's Premier Trailer Sailboats.
M17's can be towed with compact cars and regularly sail the Sea of Cortez and the NW islands of the US. The M17 is overbuilt and loves to sail in all conditions. They provide a cozy cabin that sleeps two adults in the V berth and will sleep two kiddos in the quarter berths. Spacious cockpit with 3 storage lockers provides seating for up to 6 adults. I towed this boat from San Diego
to Texas across the Cascades and Rockies easily with my Toyota 4 runner last summer, sailed her in fresh water last season till I learned that my back doesn't want to sail anymore. This boat was stored under cover since purchase then sold to me. Only fresh water sailing except one round trip to Santa Catalina.
