Charles D. Mower catboat: This is a one off molded fiberglass catboat built from a design by Charles Mower called "Grace".
The plans were offered by Motor Boating and sailing magazine in the 30's and were adopted for fiberglass by Grand Banks in Singapore where all the tooling and construction was done.
The boat was never put into production but this one was shipped to Florida and registered here in 1972.
She has a 2cylinder Volvo gas engine that is missing its manifold but the engine beds and all necessities are there for an inboard installation.
The current power is an 8hp Johnson extra long shaft on a hinged transom bracket.
The mast is tapered aluminum and the booms are wood.
The interior has comfortable sitting headroom with v berths and various lockers.
This sailboat has beautiful lines and is structurally sound.
It is in need of some fresh paint.
Her dimensions are 20'8" x 9'2" x 2' board up and 4'8" board down
She has a traditional gaff rig with a tapered aluminum mast and wood booms.
The sail is Dacron with 2 rows of reefs.
The sail has always been covered and the cloth is ok.
It has been restitched.
There are 2 bunks in the cabin and various storage compartments.
I have the original blue prints which will go with the boat.
