She is one of the finest cruising Sailboats ever. With a 4 foot draft she is perfect for The Sound and has a wonderful underbody for stable fast cruising. She is also one of the most economical family cruisers available today. Has had $6000.00 worth of upgrades which will keep you sailing for years with a minimum of expense.
The standing rigging was inspected closely and most of it replaced spring 2010. The CDI Roller Furling System and 135% headsail with foam luff and UV cover are all brand new. Lots of new running rigging. Comes with an additional 100% RF Working Jib in very good condition.
The entire electrical system was replaced this spring. Has a new battery, Brand new Westmarine VHF radio, new windex, new masthead antenna and a brand new anchor, chain and line. Features a full batten main in very good condition
with "Lazy Jack System". 2010 the bottom was completely sanded and hull/deck joint redone. Two coats of Westmarine CPP Plus were applied. Updated stainless rudder post and brand new beautiful laminated tiller with an adjustable hiking stick and Tiller Tamer. Cabin is dry and decks have no soft spots. Interior is in nice condition. Enclosed high-end portable head (no pumpout exp). Electric water pump for on deck use and flushing the engine.
The outboard is an 8hp longshaft 4 stroke Yamaha with alternator to charge your new battery in excellent running condition. It pushes her to hull speed easily using about one quart of fuel per hour (that's better mileage than my Explorer gets!).
