Snipe, 1982
McLaughlin Snipe (#25059) with blue hull/white topsides and teak rub and spray rails.
The Snipe is a 15' 6", two person, one design racing boat, originally designed in the 1931 and with fleets throughout the world.
Fully re-rigged in 2007 with new lines, halyards, Harkin blocks and cleats.
New cover in 2010.
Features Cobra II mast,
two sets of North sails (one good/one not so good),
adjustable hiking straps (aft),
new Ritchie deck compass,
new automatic bailer,
removable transom covers,
anodized centerboard,
all glass rudder with aluminum tiller.
Custom inboard jib sheeting and a Harkin swivel base for main sheet.
The boat has dry tanks and is near minimum weight with original corrector lead (32#) intact.
Includes a painted trailer, Texas title and SCIRA measurement certificate. The boat is currently raced in Dallas, TX.
