This is a 1976 Sunfish in very good condition. It is ready to race (I have qualified for the 2011 World Championship using this boat last year). The boat is sound and dry, just get some moisture after sailing in heavy air. I have retrofitted installing a new inspection port, brand new class legal bridle, brand new bow handle, reinforced halyard cleat and eye, brand new class legal mainsheet blocks. It is a great boat for all conditions as is very light and the old style gunwale reduces friction through the water and helps a lot when sailing downwind.Boat comes with the following equipment:
North Sails Racing sail
AMF Original sail (folded on pic) for practice or daysailing.
Wooden daggerboard
Complete rudder, including a Ronstan tiller extension
Hiking strap
Double braid mainsheet
Vectran halyard (1/8")
Outhaul and Cunningham lines
Clam cleats for boom
What you need to add if want to go racing is the following:
New style daggerboard
Gooseneck quick release handle
Mainsheet ratchet block
The boat is in Dallas and has been kept on padded supports and properly cared for. You will see some areas where the gelcoat has been sanded and the cracks have been refilled with 3M Marine Premium filler (Vynilester based). No performance compromised or leaks.
