Vessel Characteristics: LOA 25'10", Beam 7'10", Draft varies 11" to 5'6". Displacement Dry: 2,350 lbs., Water Ballast: 1150 lbs. and Permanent Ballast: 300 lbs.
History: Purchased from Blue Water Yachts in Seattle-WA. Original owner, relocated to Texas from Washington state. This 2008 Macgregor 26M sailboat with ocean-blue hull color is in great condition, well-maintained, and ready to hit the water today!
Sailboat/Power Cruiser: Comes equipped with wheel steering, 70HP outboard engine, and a retractable keel. Provides the stability and sailing performance of a 30 ft keelboat, yet is fully trailerable and can motor at 20 mph for pulling water toys/skier, truly the best of both worlds!

Single-handed Convenience: The upgraded mast raising and water ballasted boat systems enable single-handed rigging, trailering, launching and boat recovery functionality. This boat can navigate in shallow waters of only 12 inches, and when needed, can be beached bow-in on sandy shores for beach access/convenience.
Sail OR Power to your Destination: The 70hp Suzuki DF70 4-stroke outboard engine is configured to a center console for convenient throttle, custom steering, and trim controls. The Suzuki DF-70 hp is the most powerful outboard engine option for the 26M, and Blue Water Yachts is one of the few dealers in the U.S. certified to install above 60hp. The sturdy aluminum trailer with surge brakes combined w/ a de-ballasted boat expands the range of compatible tow vehicles.

In 2010, spent $1,300 to have 3 coats of hull barrier clear epoxy w/ Petit Protect applied before overcoating with 2 solid coats of Pettit Ultima SR anti-fouling bottom paint. And when storing on trailer, boat comes equipped with full-size heavy-duty reflective cover for winter/summer protection.
Unfortunately, we just don't have time to sail now and not getting enough use to justify keeping it. This is a great way to get an almost new boat for $12k less than a brand new one w/ all these equipment add-ons that make boating life so much more enjoyable.
