My friend gave me this boat as a 1969 "National" 16, but I am almost positive that it is in fact a 1969 Newport 16.
Serviceable, but an ugly duckling (thus the price). Could make an interesting restoration.
Lots of crazing on deck and cockpit (see photos).
Comes with a working set of sails, rudder, mast, anchor, centerboard, and battery stern light.
Centerboard attachment was replaced with machined parts by the previous owner. Not pretty, but they work.
Lines are functional but worn and should be changed soon.
1996 trailer comes with the boat. It is also ugly, but it works. Tires have serviceable tread.
Current and transferrable NY registration, in my name, for the boat.
Trailer registration is transferrable but expired, also in my name.
Selling because we purchased a Cape Dory.
Sale is as-is. Will not deliver.
