General: Tao is a full keeled sloop rigged Southern Cross 31 designed by Thomas Gilmer and built by the CE Ryder Corp. of Bristol, RI. She is hull #66 of 150 Southern Cross 31's.
We are her second owners and have had her since 1991.
During that time Tao has been kept in fresh water on Lake Michigan except for a 7 month offshore journey in 2002/2003.
Her engine has been professionally maintained and she has been under a full winter cover each year, with the mast removed and stored on a mast rack.
The interior is finished in dark walnut and white and has a bright and spacious feel.
She is documented, offshore equipped and readyto take you anywhere you want to go.
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." ( Tao 64 )
