Cape Dory 30 Cutter Rig, 1985, St Leonard, Maryland

Bandalore is a beautiful representation of a Carl Alberg design.

  • She has a full keel and a 14hp diesel with a brand new engine harness.
  • The cockpit has just been rebuilt and looks brand new.
  • All of the halyards and sheet lines were replaced early last season; along with the cabin cushions, mainsail cover, shore power wiring, automatic bilge pump and manual bilge pump.
  • The cabin is warm and teeming with wonderful carpentry.

    USCG documented vessel,

  • Includes an Aries Wind Vane System
  • Batteries are new

She's a great boat ready to go sailing today.

I've owned the boat a little over a year. It was sitting on the hard when i bought it. I had a survey done and it was valued at 20K. The surveyor pointed to some soft spots in the cockpit floor as a major issue effecting the value of the vessel. I used the soft spots as an opportunity to rebuild and refinish the entire cockpit. I cut out the bad core and replaced it with Koos board. I rebuilt the interior and exterior of the binnacle. I replaced the engine start/stop cables, put in a new engine control panel/engine wire harness, had the fuel injection pump rebuilt, replaced tons of engine hose, replaced the water pump impeller, the engine was inspected by a professional marine diesel mechanic, purged and cleaned the fuel system and cycled the fuel filters several times. I replaced the manual bilge pump and had new foam cut for the cushions and had an upholster make new covers. I had a shore power system installed and an automatic bilge pump. I purchased an aries wind vane system. I refinished the exterior teak and replaced all of the running rigging.

I've priced the boat below its value and average selling price because I'd like to upgrade this season. Im going to lose money at this price, but Im looking for a quicker sale so i can start shopping for my next boat. :) Here is a price breakdown of what I have put into the boat...

  • Cockpit rebuild $5000
  • Engine Control Panel $200
  • Engine Wire Harness $1600
  • Fuel Injection Pump $1600
  • Fuel filters $100
  • Foam and Cushion Covers $1600
