Take5 is a 2001 Catalina 22 Sailboat. This is the mkII version with lots of nice things like all controls to the cockpit, a fixed wing keel, cabin top and cockpit winches, adjustable backstay, Harken Roller Furling, swim ladder, gin pole baby stays and blocks for raising the mast single handed, etc.
I've made several improvements that have a season or less on them including:
New fully battened North Main Sail
New roller furling 150 North Genoa
New main sail cover
Telescopic whisker pole
New 6 HP Tohatsu engine
100% new running rigging, Samson Trophy for Sheets, and StaSet for halyards
Battery charger and 110V shore power
Speakers and Amp for connecting MP3 Player
Two extra 12 volt outlets
Trick ruddercraft kick-up rudder, tiller, and clutch
New 4:1 mainsheet blocks
New anchor rode and chain
Fresh VC17 bottom that hasn’t even hit the water yet
New trailer tires
Mast crutches, PVC backbones, and a tarp for winter storage
Photos coming later
If you hurry you could even sail it this year as we have a slip at Saylorville Lake, although the boat is currently on the hard in my driveway in Ames.
