Hull/Keel Details
Shoal draft keel of 4' 10". Very important for U.S. East coast sailing as well as Florida and the Bahamas. It's very nice to be tucked in a protected cove past all of the 6' and 7' draft boats. With this boat your anchoring companions will be Catarmarans and other shoal drafts.
Hull has Micron Extra bottom paint (2012). Bottom striped and epoxy barrier coated in 2006.
Manufacturer Provided Description
The midships galley of the Dufour 36 Classic opens up the aft area for a cabin without compromising the cockpit and its storage capacity. The 36 Classic gets bonus mileage from this layout by situating the head compartment and a third hanging locker in the area that would otherwise be usurped by the galley. Placing the galley amidships means the least boat-yawing effect. The Dufour 36 Classic keeps the strong looks of the Dufour classic line with its delicate sheer and balanced, uncropped ends. Dufour incorporated headroom of six feet, two inches. The diagonal berth in the forward cabin is a true double.

Comments
This boat was lightly used for many years and well maintained. It is the two cabin "Owners" model with the cruising package upgrade. This gives you a very handy locker at the bottom of the companionway for foul weather gear and other items. Also, the starboard lazarette is very large.
Recently the boat was sailed in the Bahamas for five months. It proved to be a great boat well suited to the shoal waters in Florida and the Bahamas.
The boat handles very well under sail, well balanced and easy to steer. At the dock it is easy to maneuver. It will reverse under power with very good control.
It is equipped for cruising ready to go. Very few of these boats available in the U.S. Market.
