Sailaway condition, but some updating and maintenance planned for next haulout
November 2012 survey states that the hull underbody shows "low wear and tear for a boat of this age", with “no evidence of blisters. A barrier coat has been applied under the bottom paint. The survey also reports that hull sides, decks and superstructure show low wear and tear for a boat of this age. Significant recommendations, beyond those noted below, include replacing the original gate valves with new marine ball valves for head sink discharge, holding tank discharge, and marine toilet intake. Holding tank hoses and clamps should also be replaced. The "Surveyor's Special Comment":
"This is a nice Ericson 25+ fractional rigged sloop. The sail inventory is good and the basic boat is in above average condition. However, the electronics and navigation devices aboard are not working properly and should be repaired or upgraded. The Honda outboard main propulsion outboard is not reliable in its present condition. Based on my visual examination, the vessel is satisfactory for its intended service upon compliance with the listed recommendations and maintenance items."
