This is a custom Montgomery 17, completed in 2008. It is owned by my father; he has asked me to list it for him. Any offers will be communicated to him for a final decision. The Montgomery 17 was designed by Lyle Hess, and the modifications on this boat were a nod to his larger cruising sailboats. This one-of-a-kind layout is ideal and very comfortable for extended coastal camp cruising. When you are inside the cabin, it's hard to believe you are on a 17 foot boat.
These photos do not show the mast; it is currently stored under cover. The boat was gently sailed for 2-3 years in mixed salt/fresh water in North FL. Sails are in great condition.
The price is higher than a standard Montgomery 17, but only reflects a portion of the extra cost of the custom factory modifications and finish work. The boat is currently in Middle TN near Franklin, but registered in FL. I am willing to deliver to North Florida if needed. View by appointments only. I can provide more pictures.
