Pearson 26 1979
Moxie, my 1979 Pearson 26 One Design, is ready for a new owner who wants to sail an easily maintained coastal cruiser able to stand up to a blow. The wife now wants a powerboat.
Recent improvements include:
2013 Trinidad Petit bottom job
2013 Rub Rail
2013 Keel Bolts
2013 Reconditioned 155 genoa
2012 Tohatsu 6hp sail pro outboard
2012 Chain plates
John Kretschmer's review for Sailing magazine (2008) summarized: "The P26 is not a boat you will quickly outgrow. It pleases on a variety of levels."
The Pearson 26 is easily maintained due to the large number produced and still sailing and Dan Pffeiffner's excellent site dedicated to his boat "Pyxis." His site provides the Pearson 26 owner with complete references and "how to" articles covering every facet of the boat. Parts and supplies are available from many providers including D&R Marine.
