San Juan 21, 1977

The overall length is 20'-6". 7' beam.

  • 190 sq ft main sail.
  • Weight approx.1,460 pounds.
  • Draft keel down-4'-0" keel up 1'-0".
  • PHRF is 264 with working sails.

  • Comes with 5 sails:2-mains, 1-130% genoa, 1-100% jib, and 1-storm jib.
  • Has an aluminum keel gasket, new motor bracket, and a nice trailer. Need to sell due to health reasons.

There is a ton of info on these boats at: https://sanjuan21.net. One of the best all around boats ever built(IMHO). Sails like a dingy but will sail with the big boys. I have had Captain Morgan out over 10 miles in the Atlantic and several miles in the gulf. 99.9% of the time in fresh water at Lake Carlyle in IL and Mark Twain in MO. With a reefed main and storm jib, you can go out in some nasty weather. Very easy to sail. Just about anyone can learn to sail this boat in a day. It really breaks my heart to sell her, but poor health dictates the sell.

If you want a test sail before you buy, we can go to a local small lake. You can see how well it tacks and responds on this small lake. Or we can go to the MO river...maybe.
