Santana 20, 1977
Built by Schock Sail #352
Trailer with new tires and 1 year old sails
$3500
Description: This is a nice example of an older Santana 20. There are a few negatives but way more positives! I have upgraded many of the systems on the boat and it has every class legal tweak you can make to make it a competitive boat. The boat took 7th at nationals just 2 years ago and has been improved upon since then.
Gross and fine tune for backstay
Jib halyard 16:1 tension system

New set of sails
150%Genoa 9/10 Kevlar membrane sail plus old genoa
9/10Banks Full batten main sail and older North 7.5/10, both very competitive sails
Banks Full batten 95% blade jib 9/10
Extra 110% jib for cruising
3 spinnakers of varying condition
Aluminium brace under compression post
The Negatives, the bottom is smooth but to be kept in the water it would need a new coat of bottom paint. The hatches leak slightly when it rains but nothing major, I just notice some water inside when I open it up after a storm. Also the stringers in the bilge are old and slightly compressed. I have yet to see a Santana 20 that doesn't have this issue at this age and it isn't something I am concerned about but I want to get it out in the open.
Located in Oklahoma City at the Oklahoma City boat club. We could take it for a test sail.
Just sold it today, you can remove the ad. I also wanted to say thank you for the wonderful site you run.
