Fresh Water Boat all its life! (Originally from a dealer on Lake Erie, then to Tennessee, then to Lake Champlain - 2 owners!) In VT, it's had a short sailing season, and been stored under cover in the winter.
I've owned the boat for three years, and am reluctant to sell. I have decided to move to a small cruising boat, however, and can't afford two boats.
My loss is your gain. This is a well-loved and cared for boat. You'd be nutty to buy new! "Veritas" is in Great Condition!
New in the last three years: Trojan battery, Solar Charging panel, Radio with AUX input jack for your MP3 player, Interior LED lighting, Main Halyard, Roller Furling line, Brand New Symmetrical Spinnaker from Vermont Sailing Partners - hasn't even been hoisted yet!
Includes newer racing main and jib, original main, Asymmetrical Spinnaker,
Brand New Symmetrical Spinnaker (mentioned above), Whisker and Spinnaker Poles, Depth Transducer, Mast Raising System (I always put the mast up and down by myself while on the trailer), Factory Manual, and more.
Great boat - easy to sail, very responsive, day-sail, short cruising, or racing. Boat has been raced a grand total of two times in its life - both by jib and main only. I bought thinking I would put a crew together and race, but I regularly race OPB (Other People's Boats), and don't have the time to commit to a full campaign myself at this point, but I would be perfectly satisfied to do that on this boat. This is an easy boat to own and sail!
