Dolphin Senior, 1972
Selling a Dolphin Senior sailboat and trailer.
Bigger than a Sunfish with more sail area, and a lot of fun to sail. I've sailed this boat all over Clear Lake and Galveston Bay - from Kemah to Redfish Reef. The boat is in good shape for being over 40 years old. Hull, rudder, and dagger-board are all in good working order - no leaks. There's a compartment that can be used as an ice chest, or to carry gear with you.
Included in this sale is the boat, TWO sails (blue/white as in pictures and a yellow/white - both are in fair condition with the blue/white one having several patches), an almost brand-new Ronstan Battlestick tiller extension, brand new lines (not installed), emergency oars, and some misc rope, etc.
Also included is the trailer. New tires, freshly greased bearing buddies, good lights, chains, etc. Takes a 2" ball and hauls down the road nicely.
CLEAR TEXAS TITLE - IN MY NAME for the boat. Registration is good until June 2015. The trailer is registered as a homebuilt and is good until July 2015.
This little sailboat is in sail-away condition. It's easy to rig and only has one line to control. You can be in the water in as little as 15 minutes. Sometimes you just want to sail and not spend an hour or two rigging up a boat to take a quick spin. This is the cure for such issues. It's been a pleasure to own and I'm certain the next owner will feel the same.
