This is the ultimate daysailer with great overnighting capability.
In 2004, the H-216 was awarded NMMA's innovation award for its pioneering design and hull construction method using the ACP system which culminated in the development of the largest thermoformed boat in the world.
This boat includes several unique design features, including a centerboard trunk below the floor that creates a large, roomy cockpit that can easily accommodate six adults. Its centerboard is actually a 500 lb lead keel that hydraulically retracts allowing the boat to be traditionally launched from a trailer or easily beached. It also provides great stability while under sail. The internal foil-shaped rudder is also easily lifted, but delivers an incredibly responsive helm. Her large cuddy is great for storage or can be set up for overnighting with an optional v-berth and space for a portable head. An integrated motor mount accommodates up to a 4hp engine . She is super easy to rig, launch and sail.
