The boat is in good shape, and has been shed-ed almost every winter. I am the 3rd owner. I have not used the water system for about 4 years, so I am not sure if the water heater still works. The bottom paint is good. It has a special mast base that allows a mast raising system to be used to lower and raise the mast. It works very well.

Using the lessons learned from over 20 years of sailboat designing, Warren Luhrs and the Hunter Design Team created the Hunter 29.5 to be comfortable, easy to sail, and to have style. The Hunter 29.5 is built to the high level of Hunter standards approved by the NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association), manufactured with strict standards of structural integrity in mind. Sail design incorporates a large-roach, fully-battened mainsail along with a small roller furling jib for easy sail-handling. Swept back spreaders and outboard shrouds allow superior strength and eliminates the need for a backstay. For easy sail-handling, the boat comes with self-tailing winches, line organizers and triple rope clutches. The slippery but stable hull design incorporates a bulb wing keel and spade rudder. The cockpit provides great control, visibility and is a prime location when entertaining. Below deck are all the amenities that Hunter is famous for. Two double berths, a huge dinette, full galley and enclosed head with shower, all trimmed in rich fabrics and warm teak. Race, cruise, entertain, and do them all well.
The Hunter 29.5 is the perfect combination of performance and comfort.
The Hunter 29.5 comes with the Cruise Pac as standard equipment. It isn't just sails, winches, and running rigging. It's an extensive list of things like galley, anchor, fire extinguisher, running lights, life jackets - even a copy of Chapman's Piloting, Seamanship, and Small Boat Handling. And Hunter backs its boats with a five-year limited hull and bottom blister warranty.
