I have not sailed this boat much since owning it. Approximately 10 times.
If not in the water sailing the boat it was on a marine lake lift out of the water or on the trailer stored in my garage.
The boat is on a very road worthy trailer with great tires. (Trailer is jacked off floor so weight of boat and trailer is not on tires during storage.)
I am just south of Chicago area in NW Indiana.
I have a new 4 HP Johnson LS motor (Less than an hour run time.) that I purchased for the boat two years ago ($1,200) that I will include with the boat for $7,000 total.
Without it I will be asking $6,000 for the Merit.
I have improved a number of things on the boat since I purchased it including new life lines, New custom seat cushions, New Richie Compass and Electric winch for the dagger keel.
Here is a list of the items that are on the boat.
Drop (daggerboard type) keel
Electric 12v winch for raising and lowering keel from cockpit.
Race cut North & Melges sails: 3DL main, 155 genoa, 130, 110, + older sails (We roll our sails; never stuff them)
2 whisker poles (1short for 110; 1 longer for 130, 155)
2 Anderson self tailing winches + 2 smaller Lewmar winches
Large cockpit with two new custom waterproof seat pads
Pop top
porta potty
Standing Rigging new in 2003 - Note is in excellent shape and has been lightly used
Custom trailer with tongue extension, lights, wiring harness, bearing buddies
New 204 hp Johnson long outboard motor - starts on 1st pull)
Never been near salt water - only central Illinois lakes and NW Indiana lake
VC17 bottom paint applied annually to fiberglass hull (excellent condition) (Last applied in spring of 2013. Boat has not been in the water and has been stored indoors since fall of 2013)
