Excellent Condition Shoal Draft Keel & Trailer with Telescopic Extension.

1979 S2 8.0 Shoal Draft Keel. Always out of the water on a lift and in winter on the trailer, wrapped or tarp covered. She'll sail with keel up to the beach or with keel down and she points well into the wind. The S2 is known for solid quality construction and speed.
Draft: 2 1/2ft. with keel up, 5ft. with keel down position. Beam: 8 ft. 5'10" Headroom
Sleeps 4-5. Displacement 4600lbs. Sail Area 289 sq.ft.
New in 2011 - 2012
Sacrificial sail cloth on genoas. Drifter has new furler tape but no sacrificial material. Mast rewired and mast LED lighting, new running rigging in mast for foresail, danforth anchor with 10' of chain and rode. New engine anodes magnesium and zinc. Winch covers. Goodyear trailer tires. 2- 3 blade propellers and 2 - 2 blades propellers.
New in 2013 - 2014
Bimini, all Edson wheel parts needed for install, newly powder coated wheel pedestal, interior cushions recovered. Engine spare parts, gaskets. engine wet exhaust hoses, engine compartment exhaust fan. "Boomkicker" brand boom support, and boom vang. Never used Dometic 972 series porta potty. New engine anodes magnesium and zinc. Trailer wiring and all new lights. All 4 wheels have new brakes, bearings and seals. Telescopic trailer extension powder coated for easy slide. Trailer jack, winch and safety chain.
Sails:
1 North Sails batten main with battens. (VG) 1 Kent Sails batten main with battens with S2 8.0 lettering as original type, hoisted a few times and put away for when needed. 2 Genoas with sacrificial cloth less than 2 year old with sheet lines. 170 & 155. One North Sails and one C&C Sails. (EC) One Westerly Sails Drifter almost new flown a few times with sheet lines. (EC) One Hard Sails spinnaker in (G) condition with sheet lines. Sail bags.
Engine: OMC Johnson Saildrive 15hp. Model 15s13a Low hours excellent condition.
Electronics & Electrical:
Garmin GPS Map Model 441 with all coastal charts, West Marine Speed and Depth meters, Richie compass and level gauge. VHF radio with alarm and Mayday button with mast mounted antenna, and Windex. AM/FM CD player with West Marine water/moisture resistant speakers. Perko multi position master switch, 2- lighted breaker panels. 2- 105 AGM batteries with ProMariner 12-40 P-series power factor corrected totally automatic switch mode charger for all type batteries, 12volt/110. Three - 110volt outlets, one in head, lounge and engine compartment and one 12 volt plug-in receptacle at companionway. Shore power cord - 30ft. of 30 amp with 3 prong commercial and 3 prong household style pig tail adapter. Bow, stern lights, mast lights and mast mounted deck light, and interior lights throughout. 12 volt fan in lounge area.

2013 New Goodyear trailer tires. Spare tire with lock. 2014 New wiring, lighting, all 4 wheel brakes, bearings and seals. Trailer jack, winch and safety chain. Telescopic trailer extension powder coated for easy slide. Buddy bearings were on when purchased and work.
SPARE/Extra parts:
Extra mast with standing rigging, boom, toe rails, trim, hatch covers, steps, mast raising device. One spare low time engine winterized ready for install with lower unit. I have two more engines for parts or resale. Two rare alternator/generator bracket kits. Several spare starters, carburetors, coils, new gaskets, lower units, brackets, wiring harnesses, pulleys. Everything metal screwed or bolted on the S2 8.0 I salvaged from another boat. the list goes on and on and on. I drove my wife nuts collecting extra parts. You'll never have to buy another part for this boat.
We had planned on keeping this boat for the next 20 years but have been given the opportunity to go to a larger boat and as much as we'll miss the MsB we are looking forward to three more feet.
