Solid fiberglass Beachcomber Dory production hull specially re-configured as a camp cruiser.
The re-designed cockpit incorporates LOTS of dry storage and space to sprawl out.
Built-in buoyancy chambers fore and aft, as well as large waterproof stowage lockers under the cockpit seats.
Balanced lug rig on wooden new spars and aluminum mast).
The sail was professionally made by Andy Soper of Kingston, Ontario, and has two sets of reefing points set up with jiffy reefing.
She has a nice downhaul system specially designed to facilitate tensioning the rig and making adjustments from the helmsman's position while underway.
She comes with the original ash oars (beautiful - like Shaw and Tenneys!) and nice patent bronze oarlocks. Her centreboard is galvanized steel (weighs about 100 LBS), and is easily lifted with an attractive custom winch mounted on the case.
Removable wooden outboard bracket which is mounted on the port quarter (Minn Kota electri motor auxilliary).
She also comes with a nice boat cover and a good highway trailer - new tires, spindles and bearings last year (these components are the essence of the trailer).
Easy to launch and haulout at just about any ramp.
