Bristol 24, 1969

  • $4,200

A beautiful, solid sailboat. An excellent choice for Galveston Bay - full keel, heavier than other boats its size, so she sails the bay without getting pushed around. 296 square feet of sail, 24'7" long, 8'0" beam, draws only 3'5" and she can go anywhere in the bay. Well okay, almost anywhere! Located in Clear Lake Shores now.

Includes near new Tohatsu outboard, less than seven hours running time.

  • Sails include 100% jib, genoa about 135% and two mainsails.
  • One is pretty old but usable, the other is recent purchase from Atlantic Sails, made of 6.5 oz cloth and in excellent shape.
  • Mainsail falls into the lazy jacks when you lower it so it's easy to handle.
  • A Harken traveler handles the mainsheet and helps with sail trim. Bottom is power washed quarterly by Superior Dive Services.
  • Bottom paint is Petit Trinidad - this year or maybe next year it will be time to do it again. Solid fiberglass, no core to rot. Ever.
  • Other equipment: hand held VHF, Garmin GPS, Tac-Tic wind instrument, AM-FM, CD, MP3, USB stereo radio, and compass. New battery and new charger. A really nice old (1969) boat with as many years ahead as behind her.
