I've decided to move on to a dedicated racing sailboat and therefore selling my beloved 1969 Cal 25. I've done a large amount of work in upgrades to make her easier to sail, easier on the eye, more comfortable and faster.
She is 25 foot in length, 8 foot beam, and draft of 4 foot. Very easily to handle under sail, and will motor at 5.5 knots. Features roller furling, and all lines led to the cockpit for ease of handling. The boat was envisioned by Bill Lapworth, who's Cal 40, still remains one of the best ocean racing yachts available.
Upgrades include:
High tech running rigging.
Upgraded blocks, genoa cars, mainsheet traveller and backstay adjuster.
Running the halyards internally and aft to the cockpit through brand new clutches.
Top of the line Fusion marine stereo, with internal and external speakers, remote wired control station in the cockpit(no running below to adjust volume or track!) with bluetooth/dvd.
Custom electrical panel. Dual USB chargers, cig lighter outlet.
VHF
ALL lighting converted to low draw LED. Very bright, very efficient
12watt solar panel. More than enough power to run everything, and you can stand on the panel without cracking it.
