Catalina 27 foot 1985 sailboat with inboard diesel engine, turn-key and ready for day sailing and cruising. For the past 12 seasons we've enjoyed many comfortable evenings anchored in coves around the middle Chesapeake Bay. She's easy and fun to sail.
Boat features amenities for cruising including clean and safe two burner alcohol stove, anchor with chain and rope, spinnaker with sock, 3 self-tailing winches, canvas bimini, depth sounder, compass VHF radio and tiller steering.
A list of our continual maintenance and upgrades include Shaefer750 jib furling 2005, West Marine inflatable dinghy 2006, Oberdorfer seawater intake pump 2009, starting and house batteries 2011, Garhauer jibsheet track blocks 2009. We move the interior cushions to dry home storage every winter, change the engine oil and replace the seawater intake impeller every year. Interior teak is oiled annually, exterior teak is varnished annually, and exterior gelcoat is polished and waxed annually. The toilet (head) systems and 15 gallon waste tank (3 days capacity) are clean and odor-free. A very good choice for anyone starting out or anyone just looking for an inexpensive way to enjoy the Bay.
Boat's home port is Tracey's Landing, Deale Maryland.
