This is a rare piece of sailing history. You will not find another boat like this in this condition the world.
The Cougar Cat was originally built in England, than production moved to Wichita, KS. There were approximately 250 built through the 60's and 70's.
This boat belonged to my Dad who was a distributor in Colorado.
I bought it from the guy that bought it from my Dad.
It was in terrible shape, so I refurbished it with a new Mohogany deck and had it professionally fiber glassed.
This is a very fun catermaran with a solid cockpit instead of a trampoline like a Hobie. It is much more comfortable and the deck is open and flat for passengers to lay out in the sun.
My Dad always called it a "Party Boat", but it is also fast, wet and fun!
The included pictures are from the day I picked it up from my Fiberglass guy. That was 2 years ago.
There are a couple of areas that the glass has delaminates and needs some repair, however, it is sailable as is I was just out in it yesterday in 17 knot winds.
I will send more detailed pics to interested buyers.
The Boat is 19' long and 8' wide.
For sale because I am moving to Phoenix for a new job. $2500.
