Those of you unfamiliar with the Melonseed Skiff should take the time to google the name. Over 500 boats have been built by this master craftsman in Massachusetts, each boat is a work of art. As for sailing, in my 45 years of sailing, she is the best boat I have ever sailed and the prettiest boat I have ever owned.
She is in very good to excellent condition and does not show her age of 20 years. In fact, the teak trim has recently been refinished and has a fresh coat of teak oil. The hull has been recently waxed and polished.
This boat includes the traditional tanbark sail in excellent condition.
Previous owner had a custom cockpit cover made that covers just the cockpit, keeping debris and water out of the boat. This is ideal for the sailor that wishes to keep the boat at a mooring or at the dock.
The boat comes with a full boat cover.
The boat also comes with newly refinished 7 1/2 foot wooden oars with leathers and brass/bronze oar locks. The oars fit nicely under the deck on each side, out of the way and ready at a moment's notice.
Finally, she sits on a galvanized trailer in perfect condition.
