The Montgomery 23 was designed by Lyle Hess and built by Jerry Montgomery to fulfill the need for a quality trailerable sailboat with offshore cruising capabilities. Emphasis has been placed on strength, seaworthiness, and comfort, with special attention to outstanding performance. She has a proper medium displacement hull, and a roomy wood-rich interior that maximizes space and storage. Quality is stressed throughout, both in materials and workmanship. Only 20 of these outstanding original boats were produced.

This boat has never had bottom paint and the hull, centerboard, and trunk are in excellent shape. The boat has been stored in Tucson, Arizona underneath a custom built boat shelter. Parrot Head is easily one of the best kept examples of the Montgomery 23 you will find.
