Immaculate, looks new Precision 18 pocket cruiser/trailer sailor. This is a 2009, commissioned in 2011, and launched just 9 times in fresh water only. Boat was always stored inside-until last year, kept in a heated garage year-round. This past summer it was stored at a sailing club on the trailer, with a new mooring cover from Sailor's Tailor - and this past winter in an enclosed warehouse.
In addition to factory equipment, this boat has the following additions:
Garmin 541S GPS color chartplotter/depth sounder with shoot-thru-the-hull transducer Rolly Tasker Main with jiffy reefing Rolly Tasker 150% genoa jib with UV cover CDI Flexible Furler for genoa Mast rigged for spinnaker Windex wind indicator Gin pole and mast bridle for simple, single-handed mast raising and lowering Harken main traveler Whale bilge pump
The P18, unlike many trailer sailors, is designed by a Naval Architect - Jim Taylor. I seem to recall reading that his designs had won 'Boat of the Year' four times now
This is a perfect boat to learn on. It's stable with a weighted shoal keel, but also responsive enough that you get instant feedback about your sailing technique. We had the boat out in sustained 20+ knot winds on Lake George in NY, and were confident in the boat. We reefed the main and trimmed the genoa a bit, and exceeded 5 knots easily. Also sails well in light winds. This boat has all the same features and controls as a larger boat - if your goal is to learn to handle a larger boat down the road, this is a good choice. Also tows easily.
Everything on this boat is really as good as new. The prior owner and ourselves are both "mature", and fortunately meticulous, caretakers. You absolutely will not be disappointed upon seeing this boat. I will be happy to provide more photos. Delivery may be possible; we could talk about it, if boat is paid in full. Price a new one and compare it to this. Asking $12,800.
