This boat is a Chuck Paine design initially called a Bahama Sandpiper. Ruben Trane obtained the molds. This boat was built by Ruben Trane's Florida Bay Boat Company.
Motor: Honda 4 stroke 8 hp with low hours
Rig: Both masts are free standing on tabernacles. You can walk up the mizzen. The main mast has a winch at the base to crank it up. It takes about 45 minutes to rig the boat.
Sails are original with no battens. They are old but serviceable. I had the leeches recut to take out the hook, I also had jack lines put on to be able to reef from the cockpit. New sail covers.
All lines from the main lead aft. There is a Garhaurer 4 gang rope clutch and a Barient two-speed winch on the cabin top. I can reef the main in about 2 minutes. There is also a Barient two-speed winch on the mast. A Merriman winch on the mizzen mast helps tension the mizzen.
Electrical: Very simple. Two 50 AH AGM's with a selector switch. The motor has a 10 amp alternator. Simrad Autopilot. Cabin and running lights. Whale gulper electric bilge pump
There is a 100 Liter flexible fresh water tank and Baby Whale Foot Pump and a salt water spigot with a double action Whale Foot Pump. Whale manual bilge pump.
Danforth type anchor with 200 ft of rode and 25 feet of chain. Anchor roller on bow
Two large coolers which form part of the double quarter berth.
Double axel galvanized trailer.
