With retractable leeboards and rudder it maneuvers well in shallow water (2.5 ft draft with boards down, 6 inch draft with boards up), AND, can even sail onto the beach! At only 700 pounds it can sail in very light wind, and is easily towed by a compact car. With unlimited reefing and tanks for water ballast it also sails safely in heavy winds and seas.
