Wayfarer 16, 1975

Frank Dye made this boat famous and you can read of the boat's many features in his books available on Amazon of course.

  • I have had some adventures myself, but it is time to part with this boat. I am moving to smaller spaces and have too many boats.
  • This is a fine example of this timeless design.

Built in 1975, but comes with almost new cruising sails purchased from the new builder in the UK.

  • The main has 2 sets of reef points and the genoa has roller reefing and furling.
  • She was painted a few years ago and is in great condition.
  • The hardware has been upgraded with Harken blocks and a powerful vang.
  • The spoon blade oars have seen little use and the trailer is in great condition with a spare.
  • In 2012, I purchased a mooring/trailering cover made from Sunbrella by Hans Gottshling of Canada that is included.
  • The cover and new sails alone cost $1,700.
  • Older, possibly original sails are also included.
